Join us in witnessing a demonstration of the 400- year- old Zen tea ceremony of Japan,
executed by The Urasenke Foundation. The Uransenke Foundation was founded in Kyoto, Japan
in 1949 and is dedicated to Chado -- the Way of Tea and the four Zen priciples of wa
(harmony), kei (respect), sei (purity) and jaku (tranquility).
Upon completion of the ceremony, learn how teabowls are made in a hands-on workshop led by
local ceramic artist Ed Higa.
Event is free and open to the public.
