Artist Statement:
I clay hand build my forms using slab, coil and pinch methods,
utilizing a variety of clay and glaze types. My work is primarily
wall sculptures of various sizes, "sea spiral" sculptures up to 2
feet in height and a series of "coral head" sculptures about 1 foot
tall. My inspiration comes from the beautiful images I have absorbed
from a lifetime of living on tropical islands. The ocean and the
life forms within it, stretches of white beaches and the shells and
corals cast onto them by the sea are all echoed in my work.
