Hawaiʻi’s premier statewide juried exhibition – held annually since 1967 – features traditional and contemporary craft from across the state of Hawaiʻi. This year the exhibition will open on O'ahu and then travel to the Schaefer International Gallery in partnership with Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

Juror

Jonathan Yukio Clark is Director of Schaefer International Gallery at Maui Arts & Cultural Center. Born and raised on the island of Maui, he has been a member of the MACC’s Gallery Team since 2019, first entering in the role of Exhibits Coordinator, then Assistant Director, and now Director since 2023. He oversees the Schaefer International Gallery’s exhibits program and curatorial direction with five exhibits per calendar year ranging from local to international in scope. He currently serves on the board of Hawai‘i Museums Association as Vice President. Clark received a BFA in painting from Washington University in St. Louis and an MFA in studio art from New York University, in addition to being a research student in printmaking at Kyoto Seika University. He is a multi-disciplinary artist working in sculpture, painting, printmaking, textile, and drawing, and has exhibited at venues in New York and Hawai‘i, with his work included in the Art in Public Places Collection of the Hawai‘i State Foundation on Culture and the Arts.

Because of the long exhibition run, registration, jurying and the Oʻahu exhibition will be moved one month earlier than last year. Specific dates, times and locations will be posted here as they become available.

Registration: July 1 - 31, 2026

Jurying: mid-August 2026, most likely week of 8/10-16
