Attend an authentic Japanese tea ceremony demonstration conducted by Ms. Akiko Ono, Kyoju (Professor) of the Urasenke School and a member of the Urasenke Hawaiʻi Association. After the ceremony, master ceramic artist Yukio Ozaki will teach you how to make your own tea bowl. Clay, tools and bisque firing will be provided.

    Tea ceremony rules: wear clean socks, remove accessories, cover shoulders and knees (no shorts or tank tops), tie back long hair


    Tea Bowl Workshop, 1:30 - 3 PM

    Previous tea bowl workshop where attendees learned about the importance of ceramic tea bowls.
